Can you imagine loving gourmet food, Grand Prix racing and being a photographer? Well that is exactly what our current artist is all about. Traveling the world for Gourmet Food magazine in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s Lans used his press credentials to get into the great races world wide and brought his camera along for the ride. Brilliant planning allowed him to do his job and pursue his love for many years. The photographs that hang currently in our new gallery space tell a wonderful story of drivers, cars and the people that created the essence of the sport. Greats like Jack Brabham, Dan Gurney, Jackie Stewart, Graham Hill, Ronnie Peterson, Mark Donohue, Clay Regazzoni and Mario Andretti fill the gallery walls. Currently living in Kent Ct with his wife, Lans still picks up his camera for some events, especially at Lime Rock Park, his home town track. He also does some freelance work for the Lakeville Journal.
This show is truly a treat for the enthusiast and we are so excited to have his work here and share it with you for the first time.
